asylum
Lovecraft Asylum and Hospital was crawling with new people. Jason had been appointed to the position after Julia had her mental break and Crane was like a pig in shit when he realized. That wasn't even part of his initial plan, he had no idea of the ventures that she had down the works, but he was the one who had her committed after having an episode in her office from the fear gas. She was screaming like a banshee about how her husband never loved her, how her parents never loved her, and how desperately she wanted Jason to love her. It was pathetic, really. At least to Crane. Jason was, of course, more sympathetic but now he didn't have a choice. Crane was sharing his body and he had decided that he was going to be the one calling the shots, he would be the one in charge now.

The walk down the long narrow hallways was met with loud screams and hushed whispers from every corner of the asylum. Even though Jason had never been the nicest of guys, even he knew this was inhumane and he wanted so badly to stop it but he knew that Crane would twist it and use any sign of weakness against him, even at his own detriment. Crane was a lunatic and now that he could make decisions, he was hellbent on ruining Jason's life if he stopped him. This didn't end at a week now and Crane could make long term goals and see them through. It was a kind of power that he hadn't experienced since Gotham. Not that Boston was close to being what Gotham was or could be, but it would have to do.

When he arrived at the door he wanted, he knocked first, then put the key in the door and heard the sound of feet scurrying across the room. His lips curled up in a smile as he walked over toward Julia; hair wild and crazy, looking at him like he was some kind of mad man, and, in a lot of ways, he was. "Hello, Julia." The words that came out of his lips sounded like Jason but it was entirely Crane doing the talking right now. "I want to leave here Jason. I don't understand. Something went wrong. Something isn't right but I don't belong here. I don't belong with all of these people. You know that. I know you know that. Please, let me go."

Crane stared at her for a second and didn't say a word and that was when she ran up and wrapped her arms around his middle, and brought him to the floor with her. Now both of them in a seated position she started to cry, softly at first. Jason wrapped his arm around her back and rubbed it for a second before Crane took over and pulled the hand away. Julia noticed a change in him and she looked up at him, eyes tear soaked. "What's happened? You... we were in my office and I remember talking before I couldn't handle it anymore. I couldn't take it anymore. I don't know what happened but it's like you charmed me. You did something to me didn't you?" A singular tear rolled down her cheek and Crane cocked his head to one side, looking at her briefly before answering her.

"Julia, you had an episode. It's likely that the stress of the upcoming divorce and the pressures you were under for your work pushed you over the brink. You're here now and we're getting you the help you need. I'm doing that for you." Crane picked up her hand with his own and brought it to his lips, placing a gentle kiss on it. She smiled through the tears and didn't let go of the the hold she had on him. "I don't need to be here. Can't I stay with you instead?" Crane shook his head in response and the tears started falling again down her cheeks. "You need to stay here and rest. We're doing everything we can for you. You are lucid now but you've been through this own before. The episodes are sporadic for you so we need to keep watch of you." She looked up at him again and wanted to say something but no words came out of her mouth. "I'm always watching you, don't worry."

Jason reached out to touch her face and brush a piece of hair out of her eye. Thumb idly brushed a tear off of her face and he frowned, if only for a moment, before Crane took over and tried to stand up, untangling himself from her grasp. "We're going to keep a close watch on everything but you'll be able to leave soon. Trust me." Lips once again curled into a devilish smile and she nodded her head. "Thank you, Jason." He stood up to turn around and went to leave the room. "Try and rest, Julia. Sleep is what you need." He didn't even turn around before he was out the door. Now outside, he was able to see through the glass and he flipped a switch for the gas to start in there once more. "Oh Julia, I couldn't possibly let you leave now. Not when we could have so much fun together."

Crane flipped off the switch and watched her flail about, another 'episode' but he was just pumping her and the rest with the fear gas to keep it trapped. As Crane walked away and back to office Jason frowned, knowing full well he would never get his life back.
